About

The Full Story

Miqueas Pita, saxophonist, clarinetist, and educator, has been gracing the stages of audience for years. Studying Music at Gordon College, he is well-versed in a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, CCM, & Gospel. A native of Boston, MA, Miqueas has traveled the northeast performing.

 

Miqueas is currently finishing his undergraduate degree at Gordon, with hopes of pursuing a Master of Theology in Community Transformation upon graduation. As he wraps up his final year at Gordon, he looks forward to his senior recital, where he’ll have the opportunity to showcase works by composers like Heitor Villa-Lobos, Daius Milhaud, and Alexander Glazunov.

 

Miqueas began playing the alto saxophone when he was 10 years old. Since then, he has learned a variety of instruments, such as clarinet, piano, and bass guitar. He has performed in numerous jazz and concert bands, sang in choirs, played with several worship bands, and is constantly searching for new ways to engage with people through music.​
